Why is there a drone here?
You probably scanned this from our flight notice. Here are straight answers.
A licensed, insured commercial drone crew from Blue Nose Aerial Imaging of Castle Pines is capturing aerial imagery for a client project nearby. The flight is planned, authorized, and flown under Federal Aviation Administration rules, and it will wrap up as quickly as the work allows, usually within the hour.
Who is flying
Blue Nose Aerial Imaging of Castle Pines is a locally owned aerial data company. The pilot in command is a professional pilot and certificated flight instructor who holds an FAA Remote Pilot Certificate (Part 107) for commercial drone operations.
Why we are here
A property owner or project team hired us to document this site: construction progress, roof condition, or high-accuracy mapping data. The imagery is delivered only to that client, for that purpose.
Is this legal?
Yes. The aircraft is registered with the FAA, the operation follows Part 107 commercial rules, and where required we hold specific airspace authorization for the flight. Records are available on request.
Is it safe?
The takeoff and landing zone is marked with cones and kept clear. We do not fly over people, we monitor weather and airspace throughout the operation, and we carry commercial liability insurance. A certificate of insurance is available on request.
What about my privacy?
The camera is pointed at the project site: the ground, the structure, or the roof we were hired to document. It is not aimed at neighboring homes, yards, or people. Imagery of anything outside the project area is not part of the deliverable and is not kept. If you have any concern at all, come talk to the pilot. We are happy to show you what we are capturing.
